Jennifer Catazaro Hayward

Ms. Catazaro Hayward began her ballet studies at Canton Ballet in 1978. She was awarded scholarships to George Balanchine’s School of American Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and Dallas Metropolitan Ballet before receiving a full year scholarship to School of American Ballet in New York City. While there, she studied with renowned teachers Suki Shorr, Stanley Williams and Alexandra Danilova. She joined the faculty of School of Canton Ballet in 1990. Ms. Catazaro Hayward has performed many principal dance roles for Canton Ballet, The Players Guild, and Ohio Light Opera, most notably Mina in Dracula… the Ballet, the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, the title role in Paquita and principal dancer roles in Evita, West Side Story, and Jesus Christ Superstar. She is the proud mother of four children. Zachary, the oldest, was a principal dancer with New York City Ballet while Cameron, her second son is a soloist with Miami City Ballet.
