Advanced

Advanced (preprofessional) Classes

Students are admitted to the preprofessional division by audition, the recommendation of their teachers, the results of final exams and upon the recommendation of the ArtisticDirector. It is in this division that the young student has the greatest potential for securing technical strengths, musical sensitivity and aretistic awareness.

Advanced/Preprofessional blends rigorous preprofessional ballet classes with additional enrichment activities that enhance the learning experience. The teacher works meticulously on each student’s individual dance needs while closely coaching each student in technique and performance skills.  Classes and performances promote the success of dancers both technically and artistically through high quality ballet instruction.  The varied curriculum and progression of levels allow for the development of a strong, versatile dancer.

Healthy eating and injury prevention are promoted through physical therapy and nutrition workshops. With the assistance of professional therapists and trained nutritionists, students learn how to remain strong and healthy throughout their dance careers. School of Canton Ballet focuses on ballet training while offering unique sessions that promote the all-around development of a healthy and successful dancer.
