Canton Ballet presents the most popular section of this full-length, four-act ballet, featuring a corps de ballet of twenty-sxi swans, the dance of the four little swans (probably the best known music in the act) and the pas de deux of the Swan Queen and the Prince.
This charming program, perfect for spring, also features a diverse lineup of works with timeless music that inspires dynamic and dramatic works from some of the most exciting choreographers of our area including Exile, a world premiere by choreographer-in-residence Angelo Lemmo along with another of his works, Warison; Abandon by award winning New York choreographer Cara Surico; ballets by popular alumni choreographers Ashley Bettis and Tanya Mucci and a showcase for some of our youngest performers choreographed by artistic director Cassandra Crowley.
Spring Season is dedicated to Elinor Knop, our Principal Pianist in recognition of her 80th birthday and her 30th anniversary with Canton Ballet!
Tickets for this performance may be ordered online anytime after September 15, 2007
The Box Office will open for in-person and phone sales on April 6, 2008.
