DANCECAMP

with Early Childhood Specialist, Julie Mizer Grasse

Princess and Prince DanceCamp  Ages 4-5   June 13-17 or June 27-July 1

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10 am-12 pm

June 13-17

Princess & Prince DanceCamp

Dance the week away just like Cinderella and her Prince Charming at the Royal Ball. Fun crafts and healthy snacks, appropriate for any true Princess or Prince, will be served.

June 27-July1

Princess DanceCamp

Several princesses will be explored this week including Elsa & Anna. The exciting week of dancing, crafts, and healthy snacks will wrap up with a Royal Tea Party. Dance your way to the party dressed up like your favorite princess!

 

Ballet 101 Ages 6-7   June 13-17 or June 27-July 1

Let every little dancer’s dream begin. Learn basic ballet steps and terminology while dancing to music and exploring movement. Parents will get to watch each dance on the last day of Ballet 101.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 12:30-2:30 pm

June 13-17

The dancers will learn the Spanish dance from The Nutcracker during this week! Make your own prop to use just like the Company dancers!

June 27-July1

During this week of camp, the dancers will learn Columbine’s dance (the doll dance) from the Party Scene of The Nutcracker.

Register for both June 13 and June 27 Ballet 101 camps and receive a $15 discount. 

Full payment is due the first day of first DanceCamp to receive discount.

Cost: $145 per week

Each week of DanceCamp will be different.

SUMMER SEMESTER

Summer school classes are a great way for current students to maintain their level of training and for new students to enter the School of Canton Ballet program. Classes are offered once a week for 2 four-week sessions for Toddlers to Adult.
Two 4-week sessions: June 15 – July 6 and July 13-August 3

Early Childhood and Elementary Classes
In Early Childhood classes the child learns to release imagination through rhythm and to enjoy the magic and discipline of movement in these classes. In Elementary Ballet children are introduced to classical ballet training appropriate for the physical development of their bodies.

The teacher is Early Childhood Specialist Julie Mizer Grasse.

Session 1: June 15-July 6
Session 2: July 13-August 3

Register for both Session 1 and 2 and receive a $10 discount.

Full payment is due the first day of Session 1 to receive discount.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS

Company inside school

3 Week Elementary Workshop July 11-28

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 9 am-1 pm

Previous student of Elementary 1, 2 and 3 or those with equivalent experience.
Students will have a daily ballet class as well as weekly jazz, modern, tumbling, choreography and rehearsal for the final performance. End of Workshop Performance July 28 at the ArtsinStark Education Center.  (Dancer must take all three weeks to be eligible to perform.)

Register for all 3 weeks and receive a $75 discount.

Full payment is due the first day of week 1 to receive discount.

Cost: $175 per week

 5 Week Intensive Workshop June 27-July 28

Monday through Friday, 10 am-3 pm (ending times may vary)

Previous students of Intermediate 1 through Advanced or those with equivalent experience.
Summer Intensive Workshop classes provide time for serious ballet study. Freed from the pressures and concerns of school and other activities, dancers can relax and concentrate on improving their technique while experiencing different instructors, different styles of dance and learning more about their art form. End of Workshop Performance July 28 at the ArtsinStark Education Center.  (Dancer must take last four weeks or more to be eligible to perform.)

Register for all five weeks and receive a $175 discount.

Full payment is due the first day of week 1 to receive discount.

Cost: $260 per week
